Data Nets offers any design, installation and strategic analysis of any potential local network environment. We offer intelligent network integration of voice, video, facsimile and data for both government and corporation institutions. These installations incorporate state of the art intelligent switches operating on 10/100/1000 Mbps Category 5 or Category 6 structured cabling systems to interface and integrate various platforms including Windows, Linux and proprietary platforms. Our cabling structure is certified for a period of 25 years with a lifetime warranty on the products and is backed by the manufacturer, thus providing a risk free installation.
We are the exclusive distributors in Papua New Guinea for Enterasys Networks (LAN and enterprise network systems), Acterna (network analysis tools) and Molex Premise Networks (communications cabling solutions).
Data Nets maintains its own staff, vehicles and equipment to conduct fibre optic and Category 5 and Category 6 UTP installations throughout PNG.
Data Nets is PANGTEL certified to carry out cabling installations.Local area network installation in Papua New Guinea include Shell PNG, the Department of Finance and Planning, Aopi Center, University of PNG, Air Niugini, SP Holdings, ANZ Bank, Australian High Commission, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Civil Aviation Authority to name a few high profile customers.
Mobile Computing
Data Nets is the only authorized sales & service agent in Papua New Guinea for Toshiba Portable Computers.
These are a world renowned brand, which currently lead the market in Australia and other parts of the world. Toshiba Notebooks carry an International Warranty repair at any Procare Centre around the world. We are able to effect warranty and non-warranty repairs in PNG.
Internet service distribution
As part of our expansion in the wide area network sector, Data Nets is also a leading Internet Service Distributor (ISD) in PNG and Fiji with its division Online South Pacific. Online South Pacific provides high speed, reliable and secure connections. It is based on world class Linux servers, switches and routers from Enterasys and Cisco Systems, with an ever-growing wireless and DSL user base and many large corporate leased-line customers.
With our global roaming facility, clients may access their OSP e-mail service from any location in the world. We are an IPASS partner in PNG and Fiji.
Online South Pacific has a highly experienced technical support team with technical administration of the network being conducted ‘around the clock’.
Telecommunications
Data Nets offers design, installation, strategy analysis and management solutions to a variety of wide area networks such as Frame Relay, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Celluler and Wireless services.
Some of the installations carried out by Data Nets include the setting up and provision of support for the nationwide ATM and Frame Relay network for Telikom PNG Limited, and voice/data integration services as provided in the restoration effort to Rabaul and Bougainville and used in Telikom interim DOMSAT locations.

Data Nets is the majority shareholder in NEC (PNG) Limited. NEC is the leading provider of PABX Solutions and voice services for corporate entities. |
